A year to look forward to...

Well hello there!

Here we are, swiftly sashaying through the new year, with January already a third of the way through.

It’s been a wonderful beginning to 2011 with the arrival of lots of new pieces, primed to help make your wedding even more picture perfect, some fantastic coverage in the press, an exciting new line-up of guest bloggers and site developments set to make sourcing your luxury wedding accessories even more pleasurable.

Your feedback from 2010 was overwhelmingly positive and this year we’ll continue to ask your opinion on our products and service, so please keep in touch!

This year also heralds the arrival of a whole host of hot new wedding trends, as well as the return of some favourites from last.

We’re excited about…

• Wedding dresses with pockets (I know!) à la Priscilla of Boston and Rosa Clara. I would have given my right arm for pockets in my own gown (though that would have defeated the purpose somewhat!)
• Embellishment! On dresses, in your décor, everywhere! The devil is most definitely in the detail.
• City-style weddings – Even if you don’t live in a sprawling metropolis, this year is all about the chic, the sharp and the sophisticated. Ooh la la!
• Mix and match themes – We’re talking playful décor design. Different sized tables, a plethora of colour, mismatched florals and fun!
• Brights! The 2011 wedding scene will be awash with jewel colours; ruby, sapphire and emerald for the ultimate luxe look.
• And the perennially popular vintage look will be enjoying a renaissance, how could it not? We loooove it!

Also on the horizon is the most anticipated wedding of the year! That’s right, our very own Little Miss Luxe will be tying the knot with her Prince Charming and the team at Le Trousseau HQ cannot wait. She’ll be keeping us up to date with the planning every week on her blog. So pop back each Friday for the latest.

There are of course several other weddings we’re interested in this year, namely: 

• Prince William and Kate Middleton (we can’t wait to see the dress!)
• Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth (sure to be an amazing location)
• Sarah Harding and Tom Crane (should be one almighty party!)
• America Ferrera and Ryan Piers Williams (we can’t even imagine this one…)
• Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall (there’s nothing quite like a royal wedding, but this one will have attitude)

 And dare we dream that finally Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may walk down the aisle? Imagine the bridesmaids, picture the page boys!

So, in short, there’s much to look forward to in 2011 and we hope to be a part of it, providing luxury wedding accessories to discerning couples throughout the world.
